Walk With a Doc
Vaccine Preventable Diseases
For the August 2021 walk, we welcome Dr. Lillie Hidaji who will give a brief, family-friendly talk on Vaccine Preventable Diseases, and then take your questions live.
For over 5 years, the Nevada Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (Nevada AAP) has led in-person Walk with a Doc events to encourage families to learn about pediatric health topics and then go for a walk with doctors in our community. Starting in April 2020, the Nevada AAP temporarily changed our monthly in-person Walk with a Doc events for the Las Vegas and Reno communities into one, state-wide virtual event the second Sunday of every month.
In addition we’ve added a quarterly Camine con un Doctor for Spanish-speaking families. Visit that webpage to learn more.
Past English-language videos and post-walk newsletters can be viewed when you scroll down this page.
When you take a walk outside, wear sunscreen & take water. Socially distance at least 6 feet and everyone over 2 years old should wear a mask if unvaccinated and with people who don’t live in your household.
