Sanford Center for Aging: Diabetes Prevention Program
Are you over 18 years of age and have been previously diagnosed with pre-diabetes from a doctor and/or have a BMI of more than 25? If so, you are eligible for a habit-making, lifestyle-changing, group-supporting workshop offered for FREE by Sanford Center for Aging and the Division of Endocrinology,
Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine.
Lifestyle coaches will help you:
- Manage your stress
- Increase your physical activity
- Develop healthy eating habits
- Make sustainable behavior changes
- Gain peer support as you work toward goals
Embrace healthy lifestyle changes for you.
This program is offered weekly for the first six months and bi-weekly for the remainder of the year. Full attendance is encouraged but not mandatory. The workshop is flexible to provide you the tools you need for a healthy life.
