Ride of Silence for World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims
World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims is a global event held every third Sunday in November to honor those who have lost their lives or been impacted by roadway crashes. Communities across the globe gather together to demand actions towards improving roadway safety and to uplift proven strategies, including redesigning dangerous roads, reducing speed limits, and improving vehicle design.
Please gather at the SNVBC tent at 2:30 p.m. to remember and honor our loved ones. The ride will start at 3:00 p.m. The ride is family friendly and will be approximately 5 miles long with support. Cyclists are encouraged to stay for a formal candlelight vigil and participate in the other events happening this day.
Helmets are mandatory and lights are strongly encouraged. The SNVBC will be handing out reflective arm bands to participants, while supplies last.
