SUMMARY:Webinar: An Overview for Parents and Caregivers: The COVID-19 Vaccine for Infants, Children and Youth
DESCRIPTION:This training will provide parents and caregivers with an overview of the COVID-19 Vaccine for infants, children and youth. Together, we’ll discuss the recently approved COVID-19 vaccines for children 6 months and older, the risks vs. the benefits of vaccinating your child against COVID-19, the impact COVID-19 has had on children, and the safety and science behind the COVID-19 Vaccine. This will include a discussion of the CDC’s federal guidelines for: COVID-19 vaccine series completion, booster doses, catch-up routine vaccines, and co-administration of vaccines. We’ll also discuss how to prepare your child for the COVID-19 vaccine before, during, and after as well as evidence-based ways of preventing the spread of COVID-19 to protect your child, family, and community. We’ll end with several resources, and an open question and answer period with Dr. Vanessa Slots, a pediatrician and the current President of the Nevada Academy of Pediatrics.\n*Live interpretation in Spanish will be provided*\n \nRegister HERE\n
